And the reason is you

After some thought, I've realized why I haven't been updating this blog as often as I want to: I'm putting too much pressure on myself to make something entertaining for my readers (being you) and sometimes it gets annoying that it doesn't sound fantastic enough.

But I realize that doesn't beat not updating it at all. I've sidetracked from the reason this blog came to existance in the first place - being me.

Yes, I've realized that sometimes it takes a little selfishness to get along in life. No, it's not about being bitter or anything, but deep down, every single one of us tunes in to Wii.fM (which stands for What's in it for ME!). Really, like just today I had a friend who was talking about her relationship problems (which I won't go into - as much as you all want to hear - due to privacy issues).

In the midst of elaborating her predicament, I told her straight to her face, "Amy (not her real name), what do you want out of this?" And after some convincing, she got some real clarity about what was at stake for her that's keeping her up all night.

Yes, most, if not all of the time it's about me. It reminds me about an episode on Friends where Joey convinces Phoebe that nothing she can ever do is ever outright selfless. That was a pretty good episode.

P.S : There's no point to this post except to prove my point, haha. And no, i'm not living in depression because I'm surrounded by selfish people.
